Thank you for visiting! We are a professional authentic Gypsy Jazz Swing Duo based in Yorkshire, available for Weddings, Private Parties, Vintage Fairs, cafes/restaurants, and any other event you may be planning!
Graduates of Hull College and Hull University, Dave and Rob have over 70 years of playing experience between them, are both guitar tutors around Yorkshire, and are professional musicians in their own right, having toured the UK and Europe many times.
Our passion lies in honouring the legacy of Gypsy Jazz Swing Music in the style of the much adored and respected Django Reinhardt, playing classics from the standard repertoire, and also taking modern songs and giving them the gypsy swing treatment.

Why You Should Book Ain’t That Got Swing!
Creating a warm, swinging and upbeat atmosphere is the essence of what we do. Our music is non-invasive, toe-tappingly addictive, and whether as the background to a Wedding Drinks Reception, the mood setter of a Private Party, or front and centre at a Vintage Dance, our music is the perfect addition to your event!
Our repertoire comprises of Swing classics from Django Reinhardt, Gypsy Jazz standards, popular modern songs in a swing style, films and musicals, and everything in between! Nearly all of the set is made of our own arrangements, giving your event the unique Ain’t That Got Swing! magic!
Frequently Asked Questions
How long is your set?
We can perform anywhere up to 3 hours of material, the standard request is for 2 x 45 minute sets.
How much space do you need?
We ideally require a space 6’x4′ but as we are a duo, we can be flexible with our setup (please contact us with any setup enquiries). We use battery powered amplifiers, so do not require any power, which means we can set up absolutely anywhere and be completely flexible.
How much setup time do you require?
Ideally we need 30mins – 1 hour setup time, to allow our instruments to adjust to the temperature, and to do a quick soundcheck.
How loud are you?
We can perform without amplifiers, and so be very quiet, or we can use our professional amplifiers, which are battery powered, and be easily heard over an audience of around 200, and anything in between.
Can we request a song?
Yes, we can make a swing arrangement of a song, as long as it is more than a month in advance of the event. Any closer and we would not be able to do this, please factor this timing in when booking.
